Coarse salt from Guérande
The coarse salt from Artisans du Sel is processed approximately 2 years after harvest, which allows it to drain well.
It is then passed through a sieve to obtain crystals of 3 to 6 mm in diameter.
Using a low-energy optical sorter, the coarse salt is sorted optimally to obtain a quality with the least possible “impurities”
Characteristics of Coarse Salt from Guérande
Color and texture : It is recognizable by its grayish color, which comes from the clay of the harvesting basins. Its grains are quite large and crunchy, offering a unique texture when added to dishes.
Taste : Milder and more complex than classic salt, coarse Guérande salt has a subtle and balanced flavor that highlights the aromas of the ingredients, without dominating them.
Purity and natural : This salt is unrefined, without additives or bleaching agents, making it a pure and natural product.
In the kitchen
Coarse Guérande salt is highly prized for its culinary qualities. It is particularly suitable for:
For cooking

Health Benefits
Rich in minerals, coarse Guérande salt provides the body with beneficial elements that are not present in refined salt. It can contribute to electrolyte balance and promote better hydration when consumed in small amounts. However, like all salts, it should be consumed in moderation.
Conservation
To properly store coarse Guérande salt, it is best to keep it in a dry place, in a ceramic pot or an airtight jar, to prevent it from becoming damp.
